Seepage cut off. Structures sealed. Water where it belongs.

Specialty Grouting Services provides dam and water control grouting in Ontario and across Canada — seepage mitigation, curtain grouting, and structural sealing for dams, reservoirs, spillways, and water control structures. Water under a hydraulic gradient finds every defect; our job is to close the pathways before they grow.

How do you stop seepage through or under a water control structure?

By grouting the pathway, not just the symptom. Curtain grouting places overlapping grouted zones in foundation rock or soil to cut off under-seepage; injection grouting seals joints, cracks, and lift lines in the concrete itself. Because water is present by definition, water-activated polyurethane — which cures in flowing water — is often the working tool, backed by cementitious grouts for volume and durability.

Can you seal leaks while the structure holds water?

Often, yes. Water-activated resins are designed to react with the water they meet, which is why active leaks in dams, reservoirs, and treatment tanks can frequently be sealed without full drawdown. Where drawdown or flow control is needed, we plan the work around your operating constraints.

What water infrastructure do you work on?

Dams and spillways, reservoirs, water and wastewater treatment tanks, intake and outlet structures, valve chambers, and the pipes between them. Much of this is confined space work — our crews are entry experts with the equipment for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Seepage volumes, structure size and access, drilling requirements, materials, and whether the structure stays in service during the work. Inspection reports and seepage observations let us scope it accurately.

A properly injected pathway is closed for the long term, and the placement records show what went where. We’ll tell you honestly when a defect calls for more than grouting.

Yes. We execute to your specification and provide drilling logs, injection pressures, and volumes so results can be verified against it.

Yes — weirs, spillway channels, chambers, and reservoirs for municipalities are regular work for us, not just large dams.
