Trained crews. Controlled entries. No shortcuts underground.
Most of our work happens in places built to keep people out — confined spaces, live sanitary structures, mine workings, and excavations. Safety isn’t a program we bolt on; it is the reason clients can hand us the jobs other contractors can’t or won’t take. The summary below is laid out the way your safety department will read it.
Safety & Compliance Summary
Specialty Grouting Services Inc.
Confined space entry is a core competency, not an occasional necessity. Entries into manholes, chambers, vaults, wet wells, tanks, and tunnels are planned and executed as controlled procedures:
- Entry permit and hazard assessment completed for each space before entry
- Atmospheric testing before entry and continuous monitoring during occupancy
- Tripod and retrieval system with the entrant harnessed and on a retrieval line
- Attendant maintained at the opening with communication to the entrant at all times
- Forced-air ventilation where conditions require it, including heated ventilation for winter entries
- Traffic control and work-zone fencing around roadway manholes
Crews work within each client’s site-specific safety system — inductions, permits-to-work, lock-out procedures, and daily briefings — on mining, rail, highway, airport, and municipal sites. Rail-corridor and airside work is scheduled within the owner’s possession and operational windows.
Personnel are trained on both the hazards and the work: the products, equipment, and application methods we use, and the environments we use them in.

- Before, during, and after photo documentation on every project, issued as a follow-up report
How does SG Services manage confined space work?
Every entry is planned and performed by trained personnel using the monitoring, retrieval, and communication equipment the space requires. Confined space entry is a core competency here, not an occasional necessity — inspection, repair, and grouting crews are the same people, which keeps entries fewer and shorter. See Confined Space Grouting for what that lets us do.
Do you comply with mining and heavy civil site requirements?
Our crews are trained for hazardous environments and work within site-specific safety systems — inductions, permits, and procedures — on mining and heavy civil projects. Where a site requires a prequalification registration or a specific induction, tell us at the quote stage and we will have it in place before mobilization.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Both are issued to the project owner or general contractor on request as part of contract set-up.
Our own crews. Entry, inspection, and repair are performed by the same trained personnel, which keeps entries fewer and shorter.
Yes. We work inside the owner’s safety system on every mining, rail, airport, highway, and municipal site, and schedule the work within your possession or operational windows.
A follow-up report with before, during, and after photos, the injection or placement records, and recommendations for anything we observed that was outside our scope.
