Weak soils reinforced. Settlement arrested. Bearing capacity restored.
Specialty Grouting Services provides soil stabilization grouting across Ontario — precision ground injection that reinforces weak soils before or during construction and beneath existing structures. Where lost ground has already opened a cavity, we combine stabilization with void filling and structural support to restore what the soil movement took away.
How does injection grouting stabilize soil?
Grout is injected into the ground, where it permeates or displaces weak material, binds soil particles, and fills the spaces water and erosion have opened. The result is a stronger, less permeable mass with higher load-bearing capacity and far less tendency to settle. Mix selection — cementitious, chemical, or polyurethane — is matched to the soil and the loads it must carry.

When does a project need ground improvement?
When soils won’t reliably carry the loads placed on them: settlement under slabs and footings, washouts around leaking utilities, loose or disturbed ground ahead of an excavation, or weak zones beneath structures that cannot be taken out of service. Injection grouting strengthens the ground in place — often without excavation and with minimal disruption to whatever sits above it.
What information do you need to quote soil stabilization?
Whatever you have: geotechnical reports, borehole logs, drawings, settlement observations, and photos. The more we know about the soil profile and the loads, the tighter the mix design and the price. If the available data is thin, we will tell you what is missing rather than guess.
Frequently Asked Questions
Cost is driven by treatment volume, depth, soil type, access, and mobilization distance. We quote from your geotechnical data and site conditions — there is no meaningful flat rate for ground improvement.
Yes. Injection work is done through small drill holes, so occupied buildings, live utilities, and operating facilities can usually stay in service while the ground beneath them is strengthened.
Small, localized settlement repairs are often completed in days. Larger pre-construction programs run longer and are usually staged around your schedule — we confirm duration in the quote.
Yes. We work to performance criteria set by your engineer, and provide mix designs, injection logs, and volumes placed so results can be verified against the specification.
If the ground is weak but continuous, stabilization; if material is gone and a cavity exists, void filling. Many jobs need both, and we routinely combine them in one mobilization.
