Water controlled. Ground held. Production protected.
Specialty Grouting Services provides mine grouting services across Canada — water inflow control, curtain grouting, shaft sinking support, and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure. We are based in Ontario and mobilize crews and purpose-built equipment to mine sites wherever the work is, including internationally.
How do you control water inflows in a mine?
By injecting grout into the water’s pathway before or after it reaches the workings. Curtain grouting places a barrier of overlapping grouted zones in the rock mass ahead of development; targeted injection with water-activated polyurethane or cementitious grout cuts off active inflows through fractures, joints, and failing concrete. The goal is the same either way: keep the water out of the schedule.
What grouting support do you provide for shafts and underground infrastructure?
Pre-grouting of water-bearing zones ahead of shaft sinking, void filling behind linings, sealing of leaking shaft and station concrete, and structural grouting repairs to aging underground infrastructure. Our crews are confined space entry experts, which matters in the spaces mines actually need repaired.
Can you work within a mine’s safety system?
Yes. Our crews are trained for hazardous and confined environments and work within site-specific inductions, permits, and procedures.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. We are based in Ontario and travel across Canada and internationally. Mobilization is planned around your site logistics — fly-in access, escort requirements, and shaft schedules included.
Inflow volumes, rock conditions, hole drilling requirements, materials, underground access logistics, and mobilization distance. We quote from your data — inflow measurements, plans, and geology — rather than a generic rate.
Water-activated polyurethane for active inflows, cementitious grouts for curtain and consolidation work, and structural mixes for concrete rehabilitation — matched to the geology and the site’s material handling constraints.
Yes. We execute to your specification and provide drilling and injection records, volumes, and pressures so results are verifiable.
